When it comes to preserving the quality of your print and garment, we have a few tips!
-
Wash inside out. Turn the garment inside out so that the design is not directly exposed to water or detergent. This also helps protect the print from rubbing against other clothes, buckles, zippers, etc.
-
Use cold water. Wash in cold/cool water and on a gentle cycle. Hot water can cause fading or shrinkage.
-
Use a mild detergent. Avoid detergents with enzymes and abrasives that can damage the print.
-
Wash with like colors. Separate whites, lights, reds and dark colored shirts to avoid bleeding or damage.
-
Avoid bleach. Bleach should only be used, if necessary, it can cause damage to your print. Try to use a less harsh alternative for whitening.
-
Air dry after washing. Air drying your garments are recommended because using the dryer can cause damage, stretching and cracking. If you would like to use a dryer, be sure to use a no heat or air only drying cycle.
-
Avoid ironing over your print.
Prints can last many washes if washed correctly. After the first wash, the pre-treatment should wash out which allows the print to settle in more and look more natural on the shirt.
